According to Mary Sue Thompson/Goetz May, the siblings were visiting Goldie who had Parkinson’s disease.
This Goetz genealogy originated with Lillian Wilcox and Mary Hutchinson Marsh. According to Mary Sue May (Thompson/Goetz), Lillian and Mary went to Germany to improve this genealogy. Mary is said to have hired a professional genealogist. Several members of the descendants are continuing this research. One group of the granddaughters of the Goetz children, located in Michigan, have been working together to update the genealogy. My family recently connected with them on Facebook.
